Customization
Nori offers comprehensive appearance and layout options so you can tailor the launcher to your personal workflow.
Themes
Section titled “Themes”Switch between four display modes under Settings → Appearance → Theme:
- System: Automatically matches your operating system’s light or dark mode setting.
- Light: Crisp light appearance with high contrast text and icons.
- Dark: Dark grey tones designed to reduce eye strain in low-light environments.
- AMOLED: True pure black (
#000000) background that maximizes battery savings on OLED displays.
Accent Color And Material You
Section titled “Accent Color And Material You”Personalize the primary highlight color used throughout Nori:
- System Color (Dynamic Wallpaper): On Android, Nori supports Material You dynamic theming, extracting tones directly from your device wallpaper.
- Custom Color Picker: Select any hue, adjust intensity, or enter an exact hex code. Nori automatically calculates complementary accessible tints for both light and dark backgrounds.
Typography
Section titled “Typography”Fine-tune reading comfort under Settings → Appearance → Font:
- Font Family: Switch between Default (system sans-serif), Serif (classic editorial typeface), and Monospace (code style).
- Font Size: Increase or decrease text scaling with an instant live preview.
Layout And Display Options
Section titled “Layout And Display Options”- Columns: Choose between a compact 1-column list or a broader 2-column grid.
- Bookmark View: Toggle between Compact (quick launcher pills) and Preview (rich cards with cover art and descriptions).
- Site Favicons: Enable live site favicons to quickly distinguish domains, or disable them to display clean monochrome Nori icons.
