Desktop sign-in/login problems
Section titled “Desktop sign-in/login problems”If the desktop app does not show a visible Sign in button, try opening the Your data in YouTube menu first. If the sign-in page opens but you receive a “browser or app may not be secure” error, use the Inject cookie feature:
- Use a browser extension (like
getcookies.txt) to export your YouTube cookies. - Import the cookies into NouTube using the Inject cookie button.
This method bypasses Google’s secure browser check and is currently the most reliable fix for desktop login issues.
